Glass Ceiling Factors Hindering Women's Advancement in Management Hierarchy

Aims: This aim of this paper is to identify the barriers that hinder women’s advancement in management hierarchy financial sector (both banking and insurance) Republic North Macedonia, a country historically known for its masculine culture stereotype–driven expectations regarding role woman society.
 Study design: Original research paper. Analytical observational, cross-sectional study.
 Place duration study: The sample was consisted male female employees from insurance sectors Macedonia March 2021.
 Methodology: A questionnaire designed achieve objectives study which items have been measured using 5–points Likert scale. reliability validity analyses were conducted; descriptive analysis used describe characteristics as well strength direction relationship between variables, ANOVA test employed examine proposed three hypotheses.
 Results: obtained results Cronbach’s alpha are 0.821, 0.836 0.918 individual, organizational cultural factors, respectively. suggest significant difference among (individual, factors) prevent obtaining upper–level positions organizations due gender (p <0.001), whereas no found age work experience.
 Conclusion: call attention existence disparities inequalities many areas life, particularly labor market, when climbing up corporate ladder. contributes literature by providing new practical insights into diversity initiatives focusing on growth development aspects breaking glass ceiling recognizing their competencies, qualifications, achievement giving them prospects upward mobility.
